Medip d.o.o. team was actively participating on the Sixth Congress of the Slovenian Society of Gastroenterology and Hepatology (www.szgh.si), which was taking place in Austria Trend Hotel Ljubljana (https://www.austria-trend.at/en/hotels/hotel-ljubljana) from June 6th to 7th, 2025.
There were around 200 participants from 20 different countries.
Parallel to the scientific program, there was hands-on workshop on MIKOTO model organized. This state-of-the-art endoscopy simulation technology is intended to improve skills of young endoscopist in colonoscopy training in basic starting level mode. This advanced and portable medical training simulator enables self-learning by evaluating and scoring procedures using various sensors combined with Artificial intelligence offering four levels of difficulty. Experienced endoscopist have been confirming their expert level with 95 scores level and above.
In the Friday morning session: Endoscopy and AI, where are we? An interesting discussion has developed on the detection and characterization technology, which Fujifilm is enabling trough CAD EYE, a customized detection and characterization support and SCALE EYE, a function designed to aid endoscopists in estimating the size of lesions in the colon.
