Ljubljana Gastroenterological Society PRO GASTRO LJUBLJANA in cooperation with Slovenian Association of Gastroenterology and Hepatology
organized a professional meeting in Hotel Špik, Gozd Martuljek.
The symposium was organized for gastroenterologists, specialists in family medicine, specialists in internal medicine, abdominal surgeons, specialists and students in their final years of study at the Faculty of Medicine, as well as nurses focused on gastroenterology.
First day, the event started with theoretical lectures as an introduction to practical workshops: Plut S.: Endoscopic techniques of polyp removal, Strniša L.: Detection and evaluation of polypous changes, Plut S.: Endoscopic techniques of polyp removal
This was followed by endoscopy practical workshops for doctors and nurses in endoscopy: Colonoscopy (little secrets of the masters) and Principles and techniques of electroresection. On the colon simulator station, the trainees tested the removal of polyps with a cold loop, and the hemoclip application due to the bleeding which was simulated. At the second simelator station, they tested different settings on the electrocoagulator ENDO for cutting, coagulation and plasma coagulation with argon (https://emed.pl/en/endo/).
On Saturday, selected research projects of gastroenterology specialists were presented.
In a separate program, nurses learned about new developments in endoscopy clinics.
ZZS assigned 9 license points to the meeting.
An application for the allocation of license points was also sent to the Chamber of Health and Midwifery Care.
