Medip d.o.o. and Univ. Medical centre Ljubljana, Clinical Department of Gastroenterology (KOGE) organized a practical workshop on 16.11.2023.
The theoretical and practical part presented to the participants all the professional challenges in the use and handling of flexible endoscopes. The emphasis was on the use and reprocessing of ultrasonic endoscopes.
Daniela Schröder, who is a clinical and hygiene specialist at FUJIFILM Corporation, shared with the participants the latest trends in the field of endoscope cleaning and maintenance.
MEDIP’s service specialists presented the uparts of the flexible endoscope in detail, with emphasis on how to prevent damage and properly maintain endoscopic systems.
The purpose of MEDIP is to unify and raise the level of protocol in Slovenian endoscopy units when handling flexible endoscopes.
The workshop took place in the classroom and the company’s service lab premises.
The participants received a certificate of participation and professional material, and we hope for a high number of license points for the trainees from the Chamber of Health and Midwifery Care of Slovenia – the section of nurses and technicians in endoscopy and gastroenterology.
