In the afternoon, we prepared a practical workshop for endoscopy nurses and technicians in the new Medip premises.
In the repair workshop, the participants learned about the detailed structure of the endoscope, common injuries and their prevention. They also learned that the local service performs the entire endoscope repair – from replacing the insertion tube to repairing electronic components and CCD circuits.
In the second workshop, we repeated the basics of cleaning and disinfecting endoscopes: from bedside decontamination, transport, leak test to manual cleaning
In the third workshop, we tested machine disinfection, proper connection, drying and storage of endoscopes
Thus, 25 participants consolidated and renewed their practical knowledge. The exchange of opinions and experiences among the participants was very useful. With such workshops, MEDIP wants to contribute to raising the professional knowledge and competences of users.
