In cooperation with the Nurses and Midwives Association of Slovenia The Section of Nurses and Health Technicians in Endoscopy and Gastroenterology a practical expert workshop on November 5, 2024 at the MEDIP premises was organized with the following program:
Prevention of infections in endoscopy units
Reprocessing of flexible endoscopes
Practical Workshops:
- Endoscopes and endoscopic equipment
- Electrocoagulation
- Patient Monitoring during endoscopic procedures
Through lectures and practical workshops, numerous participants had the opportunity to learn about:
– the procedures for preventing infections in endoscopy units and the procedures for reprocessing flexible endoscopes
– the structure of endoscopes, the importance of testing endoscopes and learn how to properly handle endoscopic equipment and prevent scope damages
– electrocoagulation and learn the correct procedures for working with monopolar and bipolar function and argon plasma
– the importance of patient monitoring during endoscopic procedures
Since the training workshop is entered in the Chamber’s register of professional training courses, the participants also received the appropriate number of license points.
Through numerus questions and answers, the importance and need for such practical workshops was confirmed.
